Aunt Helen
Aunt Helen came to stay with us a couple of nights, and we've had a ball. We went to church, had tea, ate enchiladas, sang a bit, looked at old pictures, laughed, and mostly talked about how much we both love all of you.
She is, at this moment, on her way from our house to Rachel's, in Mississippi. Please say a prayer for her.
We took her to the Dallas Arboretum & Botanical Gardens, which she just loved. We've spent many days there with people we love over the years. It's one of the most beautiful places on this earth to spend a leisurely day just strolling and quietly visiting. So beautiful, actually, that it made her cry.
Wish you all could have been with us!
"Do not climb on trees."

Isn't Aunt Helen the best. She needs to visit us now.

I think if there is one granny in the world who cares about other people it is my Granny. What a blessing to have her.

The picture at the top is especially meaningful to me. For years she has put her grandchildren to sleep, rubbing our backs and quoting the 23rd Psalm. It is perhaps the most memorized of scriptures in my head and heart, the one that will stick if I get alzheimers or something.
What a blessing to have such a Granny; she has been led by The Shepherd all her life and wants nothing more than for us to have the same.
