Totally Cool
A question I was asked last week (by a perky Young Life girl):
"So, like, why do you like drive all the way to like Lewisville for like church? I mean, that's like totally cool but like why?"
(I'm not exaggerating the 'likes'!)
And I think to myself, 'Oh my if I even began to explain.."

And I, for one, was like just way relieved to be like validated that it's like just totally cool that we like drive all the way to like Lewisville for like church. Because I was like just so buggin' out over whether that was like cool or like, you know, NOT.
She was very friendly and outgoing, and I do give her big points for that. But I was afraid if I listened to her much longer she would turn some essential part of my brain to lime jello.

Wow, I am amazed they said that was "cool." Most of the time I just get a blank stare when I tell them where I go to church, and where it is (30min. - 1 hr 15 min. away from Tuscaloosa, depending on where I go). And, after the blank stare passes, the next question is usually, so how are Primitive Baptists different from Baptists...
Anyways...I'm totally with you on trying to explain. Lots of reasons, but wouldn't know where to begin.

Now I can't completely knock her for saying like because I say like a lot....though I am working on that.
However, sometimes I get so totally annoyed with what I call the "Super Christians" The ones who are just running around, up in your face most of the time saying "This day is SOOO SUPER!!! I'm just like So happy to be alive!"
Is that wrong to not like them?
