I thought this neat. It's the epitaph of
Benjamin Franklin written by himself at age 22.
He never ended up using it though.

And Stript of its Lettering and Gilding
Lies Here, Food for Worms.
But the Work shall not be Lost;
For it will (as he Believ'd) Appear once More
In a New and More Elegant Edition
Revised and Corrected

Sadly, although Franklin possibly believed in a future state of existence, his conception of immortality was that of the Deist, and not of the Christian.
But, I think it an interesting quote, nonetheless.
