MS brethren need our help

Please pass this information on to your parents and churches.

Our Primitive Baptist brethren in south Mississippi are in dire need of help. Some of our elders have managed to have brief contact by cellphone with Elder Lonnie Mozingo, Jr, who has been in Hattiesburg helping his family cope with the aftermath of the hurricane. He reports that the devastation is endless. Their homes and possessions are destroyed and all the trees are down. Many roads are blocked, and there is no gas, no power, no phone service.

He is en route back to Atlanta today to pick up supplies gathered by the Bethany PBC brethren and will return immediately. He told my brother David that he is seeing lines of homeless people wandering all along the roads. He says it is pitiful and indescribable.

Bro. Lonnie's family members in Mississippi have relocated to a relative's home.

The best way to help our brethren there is to send checks to Bethany Primitive Baptist Church and specify that the money is for hurricane relief supplies.

You may also wire money. To do so, contact Bro. Chris Taylor, a deacon at BPBC, at 404.668.2937.
